OLD SPICE - SPOKESPONGE
Old Spice Ultra Smooth Face & Body Wash is, as the name so accurately states, for your face AND for your body. So, we had the incredibly marketing savvy idea of hiring a spokesperson who’s face was also its body: Spongebob Squarepants.
We kicked things off by leaking Mr. Spongebob’s contract on social media.
Then, Isaiah Mustafa, The Original Old Spice guy gave Spongebob a call to welcome him into the family and impart some invaluable Old Spice wisdom. Quite generous.
A teaser spot showed Spongebob preparing his face and his body at the same time.
Finally, the actual commercial aired. It was a glorious disaster.

But you know what they say, all good things must come to an end. And apparently, that also apply for not-so-good things, because only after a few weeks of partnership we we’re forced to announce that the Old Spice x Spongebob Collab had come to an end. Why? Watch the video to find out.
